After receiving extensive criticism for its current high-walled herring-bone configuration business class seating on long-haul flights,[1] which many passengers felt was too narrow and confined, Cathay Pacific embarked on a total redesign of business class seating. The new design is more conventional, emphasising the passenger's sense of personal space while also retaining privacy.

Enhanced New Economy Class
CX has made some changes on its New Economy Seats after receiving feedback from passengers. The Enhanced seat features:
- Relocation of literature pocket from under the seat to the seatback in front
- Removal of amenity holder beside the PTV
The Enhanced New Economy Class will be featured on all newly delivered longhaul aircraft and will be progressively introduced on the existing retrofitted longhaul fleet by cabin zone.
